| Thanx to my young and brilliant friend, Frank Mueller from Germany (www.7l7.de), who is both my webdesigner and webmaster, I have a wonderful website and a better slide show for each of my galleries. I suggest you find a leisurely hour in the evening, pour yourself a fine whisky or some splendid wine or, for the less sinful, a cup of sublime Darjeeling tea. Switch "ON" the slide show AND be sure to have the sound "ON". What you will hear is the exquisite sound of the bamboo flute (bansuri) from these mountains. The flautist is another exceptional young man, a talented musician who is making waves the world over. I was fortunate to hear him live with 1974AD ,the best band from Nepal, (www.1974AD.com) when they performed in Kalimpong some years back. I talk of course about Manose, (www.manosemusic.com), who is now in the US and has kindly granted me permission to use his music for my website. So be intoxicated by the photographs, the music and the wine , which blend into each other like the mountains into mist... |
