| Great Indian Hornbills in flight |

| Yesterday these birds made my day. In toto 3 of them flew in to perch on an ancient banyan tree for around 5 mins or so - there they hopped around for some time, looking around for something to eat and then flew off.. these birds are big and magnificent but find themselves in the IUCN Redlist ...like so many of our species are threatened with extinction |
